Reunion Theme: The Glattfelders in
World War II

The Newsletter and Registration is available here: 2015 Reunion Newsletter

The 110th annual family reunion “Glattfelders in World War II” will be held at Heimwald Park on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2015. The address is 6581 Glatfelter Station Road, Seven Valleys PA 17360. As before, please use the parking lot of the York County Heritage Rail-Trail, opposite Heimwald Park.  A shuttle van, operated by the Seven Valleys Fire Police, will transport you to the park.

As part of our program honoring Glattfelders in World War II at this year reunion (July 25-26), Susan Rudnik will be bringing her father's duffel bag with his Glotfely name on it to share with us. She suggested that perhaps other family members would have relatives' duffel bags to bring as well. So please bring those or other World War II items along to this year's reunion.

On Saturday July 25, the park will be open for your picnicking pleasure beginning at 4:00 PM.  While there will be board and lawn games available, no formal program is planned until the arrival of the Brodbecks Band at 5:00 pm.  At that time some of York County’s finest foods will beserved:  Sechrist hot dogs (with optional sauerkraut); fresh Brenneman chow-chow; soft pretzels; and Carmen’s ice cream.  Donation jars will be there to invite your support of this free picnic.  Registration is necessary so that adequate food can be ordered.

On Sunday July 26, registration will open at 11:30 am.  The catered meal will begin at 12:30 pm. Anyone who is able is encouraged to bring something to be placed on the family dessert table. You MAY bring your own lunch on Sunday without ordering a catered meal, but registration is still required.

Statement of Purpose: The Casper Glattfelder Association Of America's Board of Directors has responded to requests and inquiries suggesting a webpage for the sharing of information regarding the heritage of the family. It is our intent to one day have a complete family history online for research. We are, at present, including basic contact information concerning the many projects the family is involved in, including our yearly reunion.

Please Note: Per the Charter of Incorporation granted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to this Association in 1910, Heimwald Park is to be alcohol-free. Kindly respect our governing document by not bringing alcoholic beverages into the Park.
